NO ACTUAL PHOTOS OF KNITTING
For someone who has been steadfastly knitting away, I have no actual photos to share. Partially it is because I am too lazy to find my camera and download what I consider rather uninteresting images.
BUT!
Soon, very soon, when he is dry, CLAUDE will made an appearance. Yes, after long last dear Claude has been sewn up, washed, and blocked. I think the fit is fairly good but he seems very limp. Suzy, The Enabler pointed out that why wouldn't he be after being ignored for almost a year? I hang my head in shame and hope for the best.
I have done both fronts of Storm and will be starting the back tomorrow when I have my Sat. morning Starbucks knitting time with Sharon. Now that I've worked out the kinks it's going as fast as something knit on size 17's should. I've also frogged a goodly part of the second chemo hat but have nearly caught back up. I have been having a lot of fun cruising through Ravlery checking out how various patterns look on real bodies. I am sorry to say that after looking at several versions of Pebbles I will abandon it. It looked bad on almost every size and shape, hanging in wrinkles from the stretched out shoulder seams. I have better things to do with my time. Such as perhaps casting on the XO Caridigan from Folk Vests. Now that looked good, very good and it would also be a bit of a challenge for me which I think I am up for.
I attended the second Auburn Knit Night and great fun was had by all. This is going to be a great group.
Meanwhile, it's...
EYE CANDY FRIDAY!
We are moving beyond the time of interesting weather but we're still getting some very nice evening skies. My talented hubby took this photo.
In the springtime it is good to go down to the Buttermilk Trail down at Bridgeport and enjoy the beauty of the South Yuba River and the wildflowers. Having looked at several blogs based on the East coast I can only count my blessings that we're not knee deep or further in snow. I love living in northern CA.

About Me
- Name: Earin Marybird
- Location: Grass Valley area, Northern California, United States
I live on 7 acres in the Sierra foothills of northern California with my husband, Omar our seven year old mini rat terrier, and four cats, Ollie, Opie, Opal, and Olive. Knitting and sewing seems to have replaced my passion for gardening. Perhaps I'm just tired of weeding! I also paint and draw.

I scamper! I dash! I PrAnCe! I am Claude, the Completed!
You sure know how to sooth the eyes! With eye candy like that, who needs knitting? Just looking at your photos makes me feel like I've either just meditated or taken a hike. Well, probably not sore enough to feel like I took a hike... (I am still a little sore from long walks Monday and Tuesday after a prolonged Lazy Period) (er, which means I should definitely get some exercise today!)
Can't wait to meet Claude, though...
